Toronto Catholic District School Board
Ward 12
Number to Elect: 1

Rating Comments

Trustee Nancy Crawford has had a mixed voting record during her tenure on the TCDSB board.

While she has voted, often courageously, against some of the most extreme motions put forward by the LGBT activist trustees on the board, she also unfortunately voted in favour of some subtle, less threatening sounding motions that laid the groundwork for the more aggressive LGBT attacks of recent years, as well as for other motions that diminished or ignored Catholic formation and discipline for TCDSB students and teachers alike.

Perhaps most egregious was Trustee Crawford’s collusion with the Director of Education to disallow six TCDSB ratepayers from delegating orally to the board on a motion to fly the International Pro-life Flag throughout the month of May. This was done by manipulating the Delegations policy to undermine participation by taxpayers in what even the dissident, anti-Catholic Trustee Maria Rizzo condemned as an anti-democratic maneuver.

Trustee Crawford previously had a green-light rating from CLC, and it is with sorrow that we have been forced to downgrade her.
