The responses given by Mr. Edwards to CLC‘s 2022 public school trustee election survey lacked any kind of significant or deep appreciation for the inherent rights of parents as the primary educators of their children with respect to morality and faith. His explanations around accommodating parents who object to controversial and offensive topics like the promotion of abortion, homosexuality, transgenderism, and contraception basically put a huge burden on the shoulders of parents and failed to acknowledge the grave responsibility that teachers and government officials owe to the families who pay who their salaries and whom they are supposed to serve.
